Sport and physical activity are about having fun and being the very best you can be. We want you to be safe from harm when you’re involved in our events and sessions.

Sport and physical activity give you the opportunity to make new friends, try out new activities and amaze yourself with what you can do!

If someone is spoiling your fun by doing or saying things that hurt or frighten you then you might be experiencing something called ‘abuse’.

If this happens you might feel like you have no one to talk to about it, or that no one will listen to you or believe what you say. But help is available.

At MSP we want to do everything we can to stop these things happening and to help those who may be affected. This is called ‘Child Protection.’

WHERE CAN I GET HELP?

Here’s some advice if you think you are being abused or have been in the past:

  • tell an adult you trust as soon as possible. This could be: a parent or someone else in your family; a teacher or school counsellor; your doctor, or school nurse
  • make sure you are not alone with the person who has tried to harm you
  • click on the boxes below to find help or someone to talk to about your worries. The contacts include Childline, who are available on the phone and online anytime
