In May 2018 we were able to offer funding and consultancy services to support a fantastic refugee integration project initiated by the Liverpool County Football Association
The project, which used football as the medium through which to develop integration, targeted at teenage refugees living in one particular area of the Liverpool City Region. However, as you’ll see from the video below, there was a fantastic ripple effect from the project that benefitted whole families and the wider community too.
The project was part of our ongoing work on behalf of Sport England to make Satellite Clubs possible in the Liverpool City Region. Funding was provided thanks to players of The National Lottery.
We’re incredibly proud to have been involved with this project, which has helped overcome language barriers, develop friendships, strengthen communities, and build trust.
