Over the past 18 months, Merseyside Sports Partnership (MSP) has undergone a significant transformation. Under the leadership of our new CEO, Justine Blomeley, we have embraced a period of reflection and renewal.
Today, we are in a stronger position than ever, with a clear purpose: to create a better life for the people of Liverpool City Region through movement, sport, physical activity.
As we move forward, we are looking to strengthen our Board. We are currently recruiting two new Board Members to bring fresh insight, challenge, and support to our mission.

We are inviting applications for two distinct Board roles. Strategic insight or experience in the following ideal but not essential:
While each role brings a unique perspective, both will play a vital part in helping MSP support system change and tackle local challenges, reduce inequalities, and embed movement into people’s lives across Liverpool City Region.
MSP is an Active Partnership committed to a place-based approach. We work to support six Place Partners across the Liverpool City Region (Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens, and Wirral), collaborating with local leaders and communities to enable locally-led change.
Simultaneously, we operate at a system level, collaborating with major partners like the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority and Sport England to deliver the Uniting the Movement strategy, and supporting major sporting events.
Our Board plays a crucial role in balancing these deep community relationships with region-wide strategic opportunities. We are looking for individuals who embody our values, including Being Curious, Celebrating People, and Daring to Disrupt to create positive change.

Previous Board experience is welcome but not essential. What matters most is your perspective, your curiosity, and your commitment to our purpose.
